There is no better thrill than taking time out of our hectic routines to go on vacation. Exploring newer areas, delving into the diverse cultures of a place, and simply enjoying the beauty of the destination are some of the most valuable experiences in the life of a globetrotter.
Although most of us aspire to travel the world, for many it remains a distant fantasy. But not for travel vlogger and YouTuber Dhruv Rathee.

Mongolia has more horses than people
The 28-year-old has provided countless glimpses into his travel adventures, taking viewers on a virtual tour of locations. Dhruv’s recent trip to Mongolia, the most desolate country in the world, attracted a lot of attention online.
On September 7, Dhruv Rathee uploaded a video to YouTube of himself touring Mongolia. The film is a visual treat for travelers who like lush foliage and clean natural beauty.
According to the title of the video, Mongolia is known as the “emptiest country” due to its low population density. The video begins with sandy landscapes and scattered bodies of bright blue water surrounded by emerald green hills. Dhruv begins his adventure in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, where he “lives half of the country’s population.”
Dhruv Rathee goes on to explain that Mongolia has a population of less than 3.5 million people, resulting in a population density of only “2 people per square kilometer.”
The YouTuber reached his first destination, Khukh Nuur Lake, which he compared to Ladakh’s Pangong Tso Lake in terms of beauty. “There’s no one here but the people who came in this helicopter,” he says, before adding that the only thing breaking the silence are the grasshoppers.
There are only 2 people per square kilometer.
Dhruv then heads to the Holy Otgontenger Mountain, which is located approximately 4000 meters above sea level and is revered by locals. The YouTuber is greeted by residents with homemade Mongolian cheese and explains that there are no fields in the area, indicating no potential for growing vegetables. “Most people make ends meet on meat and dairy,” explains Dhruv Rathee.
According to Dhruv, another unusual feature of the country is that it has approximately 4 million horses, indicating that there are more horses than humans in the destination.
After their trip to the snow-capped holy mountain, Dhruv and his fellow travelers dined on a delicious vegetarian feast that included potatoes, rice, toast, tofu, and salad. However, the video ends abruptly with Dhruv and the others leaving the premises due to an impending storm.
