She completed her studies in Pune and graduated from Mumbai University. Initially, she followed her dream of becoming a flight attendant and worked as a flight attendant at Jet Airways. However, she was unable to continue working as a flight attendant due to serious health problems. She dedicated herself to the entertainment industry after leaving her job as a flight attendant.

Kakar made her television debut in 2010 with the show Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi. After that, he appeared in many other shows like Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, Sasural Simar Ka, Qayamat Ki Raat. In 2020, he acted in the popular TV show Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum alongside Karan Grover.
