Disturbing footage shows moment Hamas gunmen kidnapped Israeli lawyer Amit Soussana during October 7 attack

Chilling images show the moment Hamas gunmen kidnapped a 40-year-old Israeli lawyer during the October 7 terrorist attack.

Israeli television Channel 12 on Monday broadcast a fragment of the kidnapping of Amit Soussana, when she was flanked by several men who were taking her from her home in the Kfar Azza kibbutz.

The video shows Soussana struggling to escape the group, but one of the terrorists places her over his shoulder to try to keep her still.

But Soussana still flails defiantly and kicks another Hamas member who tries to grab his legs.

The commotion finally knocks down the man picking her up, causing the rest of the group to stop their advance and surround her.

The men can be seen wrapping Soussana in a sheet before picking her up and continuing their march back to Gaza.

She was released early along with Israeli-French citizen Mia Schem, 21, before the rest of the group. In total, 10 hostages were released that day.

The group was exchanged for some Palestinian prisoners, including eight women and 22 minors, all boys, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Club.

Soussan, who lived alone in Kfar Aza, had hidden in the safe room of her home while suffering from fever when she was kidnapped, the Times of Israel said.

Although more than 100 hostages in total were freed as part of the ceasefire agreement, Israel estimates that almost 140 captives remain in Gaza.
