Doctor Ends Up On Appointment After Operating On Bumble Match, The Internet Thinks It’s Unethical

For Generation Z and millennials still roaming the dating market, meeting the love of your life has come down to swiping right on a dating app. It seems like exchanging numbers with a stranger you met on the street has completely disappeared because, frankly, there have been too many crime docs that start with the same line.

Doctor ends up on a date after operating on Bumble Date

Doctor operates on Bumble MatchPexel

Therefore, no one can blame young people for using the help of an app to steer their romantic ships. However, even in these applications, strange confrontations abound. The most recent case to go viral was a doctor’s claim on X, formally Twitter, that he had encountered a woman who was experiencing irregular menstrual cycles.

The obstetrician and gynecologist, who uses the username @Pinacodalda, shared that after matching with a girl on Bumble, she showed up for a consultation at his clinic. After a thorough examination, they found a large fibroid in her uterus. She then operated on her.

Two months after the operation, the doctor ended up having an appointment with the woman. The strange dating story soon took off on the internet and went viral for all the wrong reasons. People on the Internet were baffled and began to question the doctor’s ethics.

So I matched with this girl on Bumble, she had irregular periods and she came to see me, we discovered a large fibroid and then I operated on her. 2 months postoperative. We went on a date today😄

The doctor insisted it was a ‘friendly’ appointment

However, in another comment under the original post, the gynecologist clarified that the appointment was a friendly dinner with the patient who just wanted to thank the doctor for his help. Many commenters began to congratulate the doctor, but he insisted in his responses that the appointment was actually a friendly gesture and not a romantic getaway.

It was a friendly date ma’am, she just wanted to thank you.

While most reminded the doctor that the situation sounded pretty complicated if they were to weigh the ethical nature of the appointment, others thought the story was hilarious. One wrote: “I thought Practo was the app to find doctors and not fumble around.”

I thought that Practo was the application to search for doctors and not fool around.

The Internet ethics police got together and wrote things like: “Technically you are not being ethical. I hate to tell you,” “You can’t date your patient by the rules,” and most echo similar sentiments.

Technically you are not being ethical. I hate to tell you
