The epicenter was identified in the sea southwest of the city of Padangsidempuan, located in North Sumatra, at a depth of 84 kilometers. The country’s meteorology and geophysics agency said there was no potential tsunami warning issued after the tremor. In addition to this, 4 people were found dead after a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck the remote area of Papua New Guinea.
