Eight people aboard Florida-bound JetBlue flight hospitalized after plane experiences ‘severe turbulence’

Seven passengers and one crew member were hospitalized after an international JetBlue flight experienced “sudden, severe turbulence” as it approached a Florida airport Monday morning, officials said.

JetBlue Flight 1256 was traveling to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport from Ecuador when the plane suddenly began to shake, the company told ABC News and other media.
