El Chapo’s wife celebrates at a Los Angeles club days after being released from prison

The wife of notorious Mexican cartel boss Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán was partying at a Los Angeles club days after being released early from federal custody on drug trafficking charges.

Emma Coronel Aispuro, 33, arrived at an event organized by her lawyer, Mariel Colón Miró, at El Farallón in Lynwood on Friday night with an entire entourage by her side, TMZ confirmed.

Having fun on a couch in a private VIP section of the club surrounded by a massive security presence, the former teen beauty queen was seen sipping drinks and making up for lost time with friends.

“As soon as I get out I’m going straight to FARALLON,” the club, located south of Los Angeles, titled Coronel Aispuro’s post on the red carpet.

The outlet reported that she was left alone throughout the night as she began to adjust to life outside of federal custody.

Miró, 29, who is also a singer and performs under the name La Abogada, performed a song for her client during the event.

Coronel Aispuro was released from federal custody Wednesday morning after spending two years in a California rehabilitation center.

In November 2021, she was sentenced to three years in federal prison after pleading guilty to drug trafficking conspiracy and money laundering charges related to her husband’s Sinaloa cartel.

Colonel Aispuro was also ordered to pay nearly $1.5 million in fines in addition to her prison sentence.

He will serve four years of supervised release.

Guzmán, her husband and head of the Sinaloa cartel, was convicted in 2019 of participating in a continuing criminal enterprise and other charges of distributing tons of cocaine in the United States.

He had escaped from Mexican prisons in 2001 and 2015 before being recaptured in 2016 before being recaptured and extradited to New York to stand trial.

Before Coronel’s arrest, she was accused of helping orchestrate her husband’s escape in 2015.

On Friday, Guzmán’s son, Ovidio Guzmán López, was extradited from Mexico to the United States and faces a series of drug trafficking and money laundering charges.
