Former accused of planning the murder of Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan smiles in mugshot

The mugshot of the woman accused of fatally shooting her former Microsoft executive in front of her 2-year-old daughter in Florida last year has been released.

Shanna Gardner-Fernández, 36, was arrested in August at her $1 million home in Washington, five months after her second husband, Mario Fernández Saldaña, was shackled.

The couple faces charges for allegedly plotting the murder of Jared Bridegan, 33, who was shot execution-style in front of his daughter in Jacksonville Beach in February 2022.

Police in Florida released Gardner-Fernández’s mugshot, which shows the mother of two, with her hair braided, making a slight smile while looking directly into the camera.

She had originally been taken to the Benton County Jail before being extradited to the Sunshine State to face her charges.

His lawyers attempted to oppose the extradition on Thursday after the state said it would seek the death penalty.

Gardner-Fernandez has been fighting extradition since his arrest and continues to deny his involvement in the alleged murder-for-hire plot.

Authorities accused her of causing Bridegan to be ambushed by Fernandez’s former tenant, Henry Tenon, while he stopped to move a tire off the road.

The murdered father had left the two children he shared with Garner-Fernández just before he was murdered. At the time they were involved in a custody battle.

Father-of-four Bexley, one of two children he shared with his second wife, Kirsten Bridegan, narrowly avoided gunfire and was left alone at the scene until a passerby called police.

Shortly after Bridegan’s death, Gardner-Fernandez moved to Washington.

Bridegan and Gardner-Fernandez divorced in 2015, but their court war continued until his murder seven years later.

Fernández and Gardner-Fernández have pleaded not guilty to the charges. Tenon pleaded guilty to charges related to Bridegan’s murder.
