Google has announced several updates to make searching from the Chrome address bar faster, easier, and smarter. The improvements are aimed at helping users quickly find the sites they want with fewer keystrokes.
Smarter autocomplete based on previous searches
Chrome’s address bar will now automatically complete website URLs based on words you’ve searched for in the past. For example, typing “flights” might automatically complete the Google Flights URL if you’ve used that word to find the site before. This makes access to frequently visited sites faster.
