Govind Padmasoorya was born on June 16, 1987 in Pattambi, Kerala. He went to St Aloysius College, Mangaluru, Karnataka, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. After graduation, Govind moved to Mumbai to pursue media studies at Whistling Woods International, Mumbai.

Govind started his acting career through a few albums in 2007. Later, he first appeared in the biographical drama film Atayalangal, playing the role of Gopi. Later he featured in Daddy Cool (2009), Bhoomi Malayalam (2009), IG (2009), College Days (2010), 72 Model (2013), Varsham (2014) and many more. Govind gained popularity for appearing in the Malayalam mystery thriller film 32 aam Adhyayam 23 aam Vaakyam starring Miya George and MP Michael. This film revolves around a young couple and they both get married against their parents.
Govind made headlines for playing the lead role of Shibu Majeed in the horror-comedy drama film Pretham in 2016, directed by Ranjith Sankar. After 2 years, he was seen in a cameo in a second part of Pretham 2. In 2020, Govind appeared in Allu Arjun’s Telugu action drama film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo as Paidithalli and with this film he also made his debut in telugu movies. Additionally, Govind appeared in the hit Telugu supernatural action drama film Bangarraju as Aadi alongside Akkineni Nagarjuna Rao and Ramya Krishnan in 2022.
In 2022, she appeared in Sony Liv’s web series Meet Cute alongside Varsha Bollamma, Ruhani Sharma and Adah Sharma.

Apart from films, Govind has appeared in several television series and reality shows. In 2014, Govind appeared in the reality show D 4 Dance aired on Mazhavil Manorama, where he co-hosted Jewel Mary. Govind received the Asiavision Award for Best Presenter for D4. She later hosted several shows that aired on Asianet channel such as Gum on D2 (2015), Thengakola Mangatholi (2015), Asianet Film Awards (2016), Singapore Onam, Asianet Film Awards (2017), Dare (2017-18) 21st Asianet. Film Awards (2019) many more. Govind appeared on Bigg Boss Malayalam season 3 to wish Anoop Krishnan a happy birthday.
In 2022, Govind will host the game show Bzinga Family Festival that aired on Zee Keralam.
