The Congress government is running the Gruha Lakshmi scheme in Karnataka in the state to provide financial relief to women in the state. By women we mean housewives, landless women, agricultural women and unemployed women within the state.
Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Outline
There is no discrimination in the plan on the grounds of caste and religion of women. All women belonging to any caste can apply to benefit from the yojana. But only one woman in a family can take advantage of the plan.
Under the scheme, a sum of Rs 2,000 per month is credited to the accounts of eligible women who have registered for the scheme. Every year, a total of 24,000 is transferred to the account of the female head of the family. The amount is immediately transferred to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts. There are no restrictions on how women spend their money. They can use their money for whatever they want to spend.

Women who wish to participate in the Yojana must register on its official website. Women in government jobs will not benefit from the plan. Also, the income of the family should not exceed two lakhs per year. It is a state government scheme; therefore only the women of Karnataka will benefit from it.
