Gunman posing as US Marshal arrested at Robert F. Kennedy event identified

A man who claimed to be part of Robert F. Kennedy’s security team, while carrying extra guns and ammunition, was quickly detained by authorities after showing up at an event in California featuring the Democratic presidential candidate, authorities said.

“The man, who was wearing two shoulder holsters with loaded pistols and spare ammunition magazines, was wearing a U.S. Marshal’s badge on a lanyard and a federal ID with belt clip.” Kennedy said early Saturday morning on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. “He identified himself as a member of my security team.”

Kennedy posted an image of the man, who was wearing a black shirt with a white symbol that read “Emergency Medical Services.”

Adrian Paul Aispuro, 44, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and held on $35,000 bail.

Aispuro’s brother, Raymond, who dropped him off at the event and was also briefly detained, said the whole thing was a misunderstanding and that his brother, an unemployed emergency medical technician, had been told there was a security job for him there.

“He approached the security guard and asked about a point of contact for someone,” Raymond Aispuro, 38, told The Post. “They didn’t know who he was talking about. They told him to stay there. He did it, and the next thing that happens is the police show up and arrest him.”

Aispuro insisted that his brother has a clean criminal record and is not a harasser or even a politician, and has no connection to the federal government.

“My brother received bad information from someone or was deceived in some way. I really don’t think he was there for any purpose other than to work,” Raymond Aispuro continued. “He had his gun holstered, he never took it out, he never showed any aggression.”

On July 31, Adrián Aispuro posted a threatening and often incoherent TikTok video that prominently displayed his gun and fake marshal’s badge.

“My name is Adrián Pablo Aispuro,” he said. “I need to talk to the Hells Angels, I need to talk to the Mongols.”

“Contact me,” he said, offering an email address.

“Let’s break some kneecaps… Let’s fuck it up. I am blocking this planet… Take care of each other, protect the women and children. If I don’t come back, call the damn president. “His commander in chief, Donald J. Trump.”

The incident took place at the Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles on Friday night, where Kennedy gave a speech in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Kennedy credited Gavin de Becker and Associates, the elite security firm guarding him, for pointing out the armed individual.

“Armed GDBA team members moved quickly to isolate and detain the man until Los Angeles Police arrived to make the arrest. “I also thank the LAPD for their quick response,” he said.

The White House has denied him Secret Service protection, a situation he has repeatedly complained about.

Kennedy’s father, Robert F. Kennedy Sr., was shot and killed by Palestinian terrorist Sirhan Sirhan at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles in 1968.
