Hanuma Vihari is an Indian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and also plays as an occasional right-arm bowler at times. He played internationally for the Indian national cricket team. Vihari represents Hyderabad in national matches. He was also a member of the Indian under-19 cricket team that won the 2012 ICC Under-19 cricket world cup in Australia.
Birth and early life
Gade Hanuma Vihari was an Indian cricketer born on 13 October 1993 in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. His father’s name is Satyanarayan Gade and his mother’s name is Vijaya Lakshmi Gade. He has a sister named Vyshnavi Gade. Vihari also completed his studies from St. Andrews School, Hyderabad.
Biography
Career
Vihari played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League in 2013. He was responsible for one-third of Hyderabad’s total innings against Andhra in the first match of the 2013/14 Ranji Trophy at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. He scored 75 in the first innings before being dismissed by CV Stephen and then scored an unbeaten 68 runs.
In October 2017, Vihari scored his first triple century, making 302 not out for Andhra against Odisha in the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy. He was Andhra’s leading run-scorer in the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy, with 752 runs in six matches.
In October 2018, Vihari was named in the India B squad for the 2018-19 Deodhar Trophy. In December 2018, he was bought by Delhi Capitals in the 2019 Indian Premier League player auction. The same year, he was named captain of India A for the 2019-20 Deodhar Trophy. He was released by Delhi Capitals ahead of the 2020 IPL auction.
In April 2021, Vihari was signed by Warwickshire County Cricket Club for their 2021 County Championship season. He also played internationally and made his team win games and always made his team proud of him.
