McDonald was doing very well in his career and life when suddenly in 2018 doctors revealed that he had stomach cancer and a serious heart condition. The reports and the diagnosis shook Henry’s world to the core. Wasting no time, however, he and his family began treatment. He received treatment and medication for both conditions and began to recover. However, in the year 2022, he developed sepsis and his doctors revealed that the cancer had returned. Tragically, as time went by, his situation began to deteriorate. And then, on February 19, 2023, he closed his eyes for the last time and passed away in Belfast hospital.
