Bangalore traffic is a challenging hurdle that all the locals have to overcome on a daily basis while on their way to work. It comes as no surprise to anyone that every morning the city is faced with traffic congestion issues, making it nearly impossible to get to work on time. Like the traffic in Gurgaon, vehicles move inch by inch until they reach their destination.

A man gets stuck in Bangalore traffic; His smartwatch gets confused
While humans are well aware of the fact that Bangalore traffic requires patience and waiting, technology seems to be being fooled by this peak Bangalore time. Twitter user Kawal Oberoi shared his experience of getting stuck in traffic on his way to work one morning.
What was interesting was not the traffic or the man’s miraculous escape from the bottleneck situation, but the amusing reaction of his smartwatch when the man got stuck. The technology is made to detect changes in a person’s environment and track their movements.
A man’s smartwatch assumed he was exercising
How bad is bangalore traffic? Well I took a ride on a Rapido bike and my watch thought I was riding a bike 🤣🤣🤣@picobengaluru pic.twitter.com/fzhx5E8ytY

However, the Bangalore traffic confused the watch, which began to assume that while Oberoi was stuck in traffic, he was apparently cycling.
He was taking a Rapido bike ride to work that day, but was apparently exercising while sitting behind the driver during traffic jam.
The smartwatch’s pop-up said, “Looks like you’re working out,” along with a suggestion to track your outdoor cycling routine. It is difficult to detect why the smartwatch calibrated such a result. It could be the slow forward motion of the vehicle that was stuck in Bangalore traffic, or it could be the man’s racing heart rate as he becomes anxious sitting in endless traffic jam.
This was apparently not the first time a smartwatch mistook Bangalore traffic for something else entirely, one user explained on Twitter. They shared that once, while they were stuck in a car near Koramangala, their watch went into sleep mode.
It’s better, once it went into sleep mode while traveling by car near koramangala.

While another added that something similar happened to them not too long ago.
This also happened to me a few days ago. 😇

For one user, their smartwatch assumed they had been sitting for too long and suggested they get up and move around a bit.
My smartwatch assumes I’ve been sitting too long and asks me to walk. All this while fighting the traffic on the outer ring road
