Hiya Mukherjee was born in Calcutta, West Bengal. She studied in Calcutta and obtained her graduation degree from Calcutta University.
During her studies, Hiya began appearing in photo shoots for popular clothing and jewelry brands. Later, she auditioned for many serials and then was selected for Sun Bangla’s most popular soap opera Nayantara in 2021. In this serial, Hiya played the lead role of Tara Maitra opposite Subhajit Saha as Samudra Maitra. After becoming popular, Hiya got the opportunity to appear in Star Jalsha’s new show Geeta LLB where she plays the role of Geeta who is a loyalist in 2023.
