Tom Hoke’s cause of death explored
According to The Central New York Community, Tom Hoke died at the age of 77. He was the embodiment of Pride and Tradition at Rome Free Academy. Additionally, Tom Hoke spent 27 years serving the Black Knights as head coach. He had an exceptional record of 210-41-4. In his career, he has received numerous accolades, including 8 Section III titles, 19 league titles and one state championship. Tom Hoke’s family confirmed the news of his death on July 17, 2023. He lost his life at the age of 77. He left precious memories. Dan Chmielewski remembered him as his old high school football coach. He wrote: “Tom Hoke taught teamwork and hard work; he never played favorites. Your talent and hard work earned you playing time. He had a rule he stuck to (which my son’s high school coach didn’t have); if he was a starter and missed practice, he went to the bottom of the depth chart. When Friday night rolled around and if you didn’t get your spot back, your backup started. He would take a loss before lowering his standard.”
