The longest study ever conducted on human happiness has uncovered some surprising insights into what really contributes to health and satisfaction across the lifespan.

Dr. Robert Waldinger is the director of the 80-year-old Harvard Study of Adult Development. 4. Take good care of your body in the long term

According to the Harvard study, participants who exercised regularly and maintained their physical fitness throughout their lives were more likely to thrive well into old age. One of the centenarians interviewed for the study said: “Take care of your body as if you will need it for 100 years.”
