Ilker Ayci was born in 1971 in Istanbul. He married Tuğçe Saatman, a lawyer and sports commentator, on November 19, 2018. He studied political science and public administration at Bilkent University. Ilker was a political science researcher at the University of Leeds. He completed a Master’s degree in International Relations from Marmara University in Istanbul in 1997.

Career
Ayci is the CEO of Tata Companies’ Air India Limited. He was a member of the executive board of Turkish Airlines and later promoted to president. He served as President of Airlines for over 6 years. He has also worked at the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies as Vice President and President. He was appointed president of the Turkish Prime Minister’s Investment Promotion and Support Agency in January 2011.
Previously, Ayci held various positions in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. He was also associated with numerous insurance companies as CEO between 2005 and 2011.
