Indian Idol is a singing reality show on Sony channel, which aired from October 12, 2019 to February 24, 2020, the show was judged by Vishal Dadlani, Himesh Reshammiya and Neha Kakkar. Aditya Narayan hosted this show. The show’s auditions were held in big cities like Jaipur, Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Dehradun, Chandigarh, Kolkata and Lucknow. Anu Malik was also a part of this show but due to controversy he was removed from the show.
Plot
The Indian Idol show aims to provide a platform to new talented singers, so that they can come to the forefront of this world. You are judged by famous celebrities, which increases your chances of success.
From the audition, 15 contestants are selected for this show. Those who compete against each other and each week one contestant is eliminated. Elimination is done based on the votes of the judge and the public. In the end there are only 3 or four contestants left, among whom the winner is chosen.

Controversy
Bollywood singer Sona Mohapatra accused Anu Malik during the MeeToo campaign. She continuously talks about this issue during the filming of Indian Idol 11, after which Anu Malik was removed from the show. Even before this, Anu was also eliminated from Indian Idol 10.
