Inside the twisted marriage of Tatyana Remley, equestrian accused of murder plot

Tatyana Remley, a striking blonde who wouldn’t have looked out of place on “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” walked into the Starbucks in Solana Beach, California, and turned heads.

Among well-dressed clientele, the 5-foot-11, 125-pound 43-year-old man wore a tank top and athletic shorts. His partner was a thug-looking guy wearing sunglasses, a side hat, and baggy shorts.

“You could tell something was going on,” one worker told the Post, revealing new details of a scandal that has shocked and fascinated Southern California society and encompasses claims of elite orgies, guns and a threat taken directly from “ The Godfather”.

“She might have been trying to achieve a sexual appearance, but I wouldn’t call her sexy,” the worker added. “She looked like she was hooked on something.”

And that was before anyone at Starbucks knew that Remley had arrived to discuss paying her partner $2 million to murder her husband, Mark Remley.

They each ordered a mango and dragon fruit soda and headed to a table in the backyard. After about 10 minutes, the “thug” went to the bathroom, two police cars pulled up, and four San Diego police officers headed straight to the yard.

“They rushed back there, handcuffed her and started going through her purse,” the worker recalled. “The officers were efficient and escorted her to a patrol car. She took off. But the bully was still in the bathroom.”

The worker, a little scared that the “thug” was left behind, went outside to notify the remaining pair of police officers.

Tatyana Remley and her husband Mark’s relationship was sexually twisted, friends have revealed. She was seen dancing with him, with a belt around her neck, before she filed for divorce and then his arrest for an alleged murder-for-hire plot. Felix Gonzales

“One of them told me: ‘Don’t worry, he’s with us, that’s all I can tell you,’” the worker said. “Then a van with blackened windows pulled up and the thug got into it. He was an undercover cop.”

This arrest was the final unraveling of a tumultuous and allegedly violent 12-year marriage between Tatyana, allegedly a compulsively sexual Russian bombshell, and her husband, Mark, who had inherited $26 million from his parents.

It is unclear how they met. Their relationship featured a mix of fast cars, alleged drug use, guns and a wasted fortune, and now he was in Splitsville.

Mark reportedly financed dubious business ventures that Tatyana wanted to start. Among them: an equestrian show called Valitar (compared to Cirque du Soleil with horses), a cycling studio called Rhythm and Power, and a polo team. Now everyone is kaput.

In terms of what Mark actually did to make money, it seems vague. LinkedIn describes his occupation as “president.”

His father, according to multiple sources, was successful in the world of technology and is said to have owned valuable patents, some of which ended up with Mark. The couple shared a $5.3 million home in Tony Del Mar, California, next to Del Mar Polo Fields.

Clearly, money didn’t buy happiness for Mark, 57, who, according to a friend, “looked like he was 77” after his wife allegedly tried to murder him.

“His lifestyle was reckless; It was toxic,” a friend of Tatyana’s told The Post. “They both had sexual relations with all kinds of people. There were prostitutes, strippers and sex clubs.”

In fact, in the first episode of the 2017 Showtime series “Naked SNCTM,” about the elite sex club, Mark and Tatyana Remley can be seen hanging out with other swingers. Looking into the camera, Tatyana whispered: “What I like most is pushing the limits…”

Mark later said, “Sex is probably the most important part of our lives.”

To underline this point, Tatyana engaged in sexual acts with a variety of women in the documentary while Mark could be heard saying: “I’m kind of an adrenaline junkie. “I love taking risks and I love living on the edge.”

Sources told The Post that she was “sleeping” at the neighboring polo club and was “targeting rich men.”

By July, the Remleys’ marriage was on the brink of dissolution. On July 2, Tatyana filed for divorce. In the divorce papers she maintained that her friends of her husband “[broke] My expensive horse statue in the yard and I put the horse’s head on my bed, Godfather style.”

Nine days after she filed for divorce, the house caught fire and was reduced to ashes. Tatyana claimed to have no idea what happened.

After the fire, Tatyana’s friend recalls, “the police were called to the house. The agents asked for Tatyana’s identification and in her purse there were four loaded weapons. The police arrested her for weapons possession.”

Surprisingly, that’s not even the most shocking incident involving the couple and firearms. “Mark got arrested once,” the friend said, “because he was naked at the top of the driveway with an elephant gun. “He chased her with a knife and she had to run out of the house in her underwear.”

Then there are claims in the divorce report that Mark “put a gun on [Tatyana’s] head.”

It was by no means the only police call. After the arrest at Starbucks, a California Highway Patrol officer told the Starbucks worker how he arrived at the Remley residence in response to a noise complaint from a neighbor.

“[Tatyana] “She was completely disheveled but had the fanciest horse trailer,” the officer said. He was likely referring to his Lakota Longhorn, which, according to the divorce record, has a fair market value of $135,000.

Erik Martonovich, who worked with the couple around 2012 at the failed horse show group, last heard from them in 2017. A friend told him that “Tatyana wanted me to come down and sleep with her while Mark watched.” Martonovich is not surprised by the ruthless plan in which Tatyana allegedly participated.

“I think she would try to kill him,” Martonovich told The Post. “She is volatile and cold. I don’t know if she thought she would get the money from her. She’s not brilliant. I think she did it because she thought she would get paid.”

In the divorce report, Tatyana claimed to be “in dire need of support.”

She is now accused of a murder-for-hire plot that allegedly began when a man who happened to be a friend of Tatyana’s husband recommended a hitman.

The friend who had talked about killing Mark allegedly told the potential victim what his wife was planning; Mark reported him to the police and the sting operation was launched.

Even before the bitter breakup, according to Martonovich, the relationship was a bit eccentric. He remembers a horse show cast party when Tatyana did something that may have demonstrated the tenor of their relationship.

“At the party, she had a belt around Mark’s neck and she carried him by the belt for much of the night,” Martonovich recalls. “She made people do lap dances for her. She didn’t love it.”

But the way Martonovich saw it, Tatyana was used to getting her way. “Her whole personality was built around doing what she wanted,” Martonovich said.

“If she wanted to do something, he would pay for it. The money didn’t matter. He did what she wanted and paid for it. I saw him lose [millions on the equestrian project].”

Some of what she wanted, according to her friend, was to watch Mark while he had sex with other women. “There was one night when Mark and his former love interest brought home an entire strip club,” the friend recalled. “That was par for the course. “She enjoyed it with other women, but only when she was under her control.”

That night was the complete opposite. “The women were going through everything, looting all their things,” the friend said. “They chose their Louboutin shoes and bags.”

In the divorce filing, Tatyana claimed that they “stole or destroyed $250,000 worth of property,” including “animals, clothing, my cars and motorcycles.” The animals were three silky fainting goats: Milky Way, Milk Shake, and Milk It, and three parrots, including Ada, an African gray, and Calculator, an Amazonian red.

These days, Mark seems to keep low-key and not take calls from the media. Tatyana is locked up at the Las Colinas Detention Center in Santee, California, awaiting a hearing in October. She has pleaded not guilty to soliciting murder.

Horseman Martonovich isn’t exactly upset about how far everything went south. “I knew them well,” he told The Post. “They were jerks and karma is a bitch.”
