Ethan later invited his mother to go to a shooting range with him, and Jennifer posted photos about the outing on social media.

In court, she described their mother-son outing as a “fun day” and said she was flattered that Ethan had asked her to go with him, and not his father, who was busy making DoorDash deliveries.
But he otherwise denied having any connection with the gun, which was kept in a locked box kept in a beer mug.
“I have asked myself if I would have done something differently. I wouldn’t have done it. I wish he had killed us,” Jennifer said, referring to her son shooting and killing four students.

Jennifer, who faces 60 years in prison if convicted, stopped short of calling herself a victim, saying she did not “want to disrespect the families who are really the victims of this.”
