Jewish student’s dorm at Drexel University burned down: report

A Jewish student had his dorm room set on fire at a Philadelphia university.

The fire in a Drexel University dormitory started around 11 p.m. Tuesday in Race Hall, according to campus police.

Police discovered that the student’s door decorations were “intentionally” set on fire. The flames were “quickly extinguished” by the Philadelphia Fire Department.

The school is investigating whether bias or discrimination occurred, according to a letter from university president John Fry.

“Unfortunately, we learned of a distressing situation that included destruction within one of our residences,” he wrote. “Fortunately no one was injured. We are investigating to determine if bias, discrimination or hate, which we do not tolerate at Drexel, were the motives behind this incident. “The investigation into this incident is ongoing and we will update the community once it is concluded.”

Nobody was hurt.

The fire comes a week after Hamas terrorists attacked Israel, killing more than 1,300 people, including babies and children.

At least 29 Americans have died.

The death toll in Gaza has risen to more than 2,200, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
