On June 10, 1752, Benjamin Franklin is said to have flown a kite during a thunderstorm to collect ambient electrical charge in a Leyden jar, allowing him to demonstrate the connection between lightning and electricity. Franklin became interested in electricity in the mid-1740s, a time when much was still unknown on the subject, and he spent nearly a decade conducting electrical experiments.
1967 – The Six Day War ends
On June 10, 1967, six days of war in the Middle East involving Israel, Syria, Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq ended when Israel and Syria agreed to a United Nations-brokered ceasefire.
