Greene’s resolution notes several controversial statements made by Tlaib since she first took office in Congress in 2019, accusing her of espousing anti-Semitic beliefs.
“In May 2019, Rashida Tlaib said she celebrated the Holocaust and felt a ‘reassuring feeling’ when thinking about the genocide of millions of Jews,” the resolution states.
“In 2020, Rashida Tlaib retweeted an illustration with the caption: ‘From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,’ and this slogan of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) has been adopted by Hamas and calls for the elimination of Israel and the death of all Jews,” Greene cites as an example of the anti-Semitism displayed by Tlaib.

Greene’s resolution is co-sponsored by six Republican members of the House GOP.
House lawmakers are scheduled to leave Washington on Thursday night and not meet until Wednesday.
At least one Democratic member of the House of Representatives, Florida Rep. Jared Moskowitz, has said Congress should consider voting to censure Tlaib for her refusal to accept U.S. and Israeli findings about last week’s bombing in the Al Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City.
