Anyone who has worked in the service industry would agree with me when I say, “There is no respect for rude customers.” As harsh as it sounds, sometimes people go to such bizarre lengths to make things difficult for service providers that at some point you just start to feel useful, especially when you’re in charge of working the counter.

McDonald’s employee throws drink at rude customer
Something of the sort conspired when during the morning rush of a Thursday, a rude customer argued with the employees of a McDonald’s establishment in Australia. A clip of the incident hit the internet, prompting people to quickly side with the establishment’s employees.
The clip captures an employee, working the store’s counter, throwing a cup of what appears to be iced coffee at an enraged customer. After which, the customer goes into a frenzy and throws everything he can grab off the counter at the employees working in the kitchen.
In the process, the customer also takes aim at the screen placed on the counter and hits it directly on the screen, presumably breaking the device. While McDonald’s headquarters condemned the actions that took place, they also point to the entire story that was not filmed in the circulating clip.

The Outlet clarified that it was the customer who came after the employees first
The point of sale was located in the Wynyard store in the Central Business District of Sydney in Australia. Everything was going like a normal Thursday morning when a disruptive customer entered the store. McDonald’s Australia clarified in a statement: “What is not shown in the video is the customer entering the restaurant earlier and going behind the counter to disrupt the kitchen and threaten staff.”

They also noted: “Anti-social behavior is not tolerated in our restaurants and we expect our people to be treated with respect at all times.” However, the company admitted that they will analyze the situation. They also clarified that in cases of such evident abuse and violence by the client, the company will side with its employees.
Police in New South Wales, Australia, confirmed they attended the Wynyard station shop after being told a 23-year-old man had been assaulted. However, after an investigation, a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy were arrested in George Street a short time later.
According to the New York Post, police said: “Both teenagers were taken to the Day Street Police Station, where they were treated (under) the Juvenile Offenders Act.”
