Cay Aliese is an ambitious 24-year-old singer-songwriter from Dandridge, Tennessee, a married mother of two. After accepting a full-time job in social media marketing, Cay hasn’t given up on her dream of sharing her music around the world with her family. She is part of the worship group The Deep Worship, or The Deep for short, and has already released solo music.
Aliese, daughter of the late Nolan Neal, is no stranger to the spotlight. Neal was a former contestant on The Voice and America’s Got Talent, sadly he passed away in July 2022 due to a drug overdose. To honor his father, Cay published a heartfelt musical tribute to him just four days after his death. In it, she expressed her regret that her father was never able to hear her sing.
Aliese spoke in a recent interview with the Knoxville News Sentinel about her own struggles pursuing her musical dreams. She revealed that there were times when she felt an attraction to music, but she did not want to follow in her father’s footsteps. After her death, Aliese decided to take the plunge and auditioned for American Idol. She finally came to the conclusion that he was going to devote himself to her passion or forget about her completely. Taking a risk, she decided to pursue her dreams and live her passion.
She has already made her mark in the music industry by releasing five singles, namely “Polish All the Pieces,” “Ruins,” “Send Me a Butterfly,” and “Steady Girl,” all written by her.
