Tyson Venegas is a Filipino-Canadian singer and songwriter. He is best known for participating in season 21 of the singing reality show American Idol. In 2020, Venegas was part of the second season of “The Voice Teens Philippines” as a member of the apl.de.ap team. However, he had to withdraw from the competition before the knockout stage.
Birth and early life
Tyson Venegas was born on August 31, 2005 to a Filipino family. He is currently 18 years old. His father’s name is Paul Venegas and his mother’s name is Iris Samson.
Venegas suffered from speech delay when he was a child attending music classes. Through hard work and dedication, he was able to overcome his disability and developed a passion for singing. This led him to Boris Buriev’s music school, where he honed his skills.

Career
Venegas began her music career by participating in the Philippine version of The Voice Teens in 2020 when she was only 14 years old. She sang ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’ in the show’s blind audition.
His performance left the judges and the audience mesmerized and his YouTube video has surpassed 1.5 million. She didn’t make it to the finals because she had to drop out due to COVID restrictions.
In 2023, Venegas became the first person to receive a Platinum ticket on season 21 of the long-running music competition show “American Idol.” Her Las Vegas audition was a beautiful rendition of Billy Joel’s “New York State of Mind” on piano, and earned her a standing ovation from Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan, the show’s three judges.
