Melania Trump joins her former first ladies in rare public appearance at Rosalynn Carter’s funeral

Melania Trump joined her fellow former first ladies in a rare public appearance while attending Rosalynn Carter’s funeral.

Trump showed up to the private tribute service Tuesday wearing a tweed coat that featured a small belt that cinched around her waist and reached mid-calf, exposing her bare legs and black heels.

She put on black leather gloves and combed her hair into loose, curly locks.

Along with Trump, former first ladies Michelle Obama, Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton also attended Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church in Atlanta.

Obama dressed in a black turtleneck and matching pants with a black jacket on top. He slicked his hair back into a ponytail and accessorized the outfit with black heels and chunky silver hoops.

Everyone sat side by side to honor the memorable former first lady.

Current first lady Jill Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris also attended, and the former wore a black long-sleeved shirt, black skirt, and black tights.

While he was unable to speak at the service, his daughter, Amy Lynn Carter, read a letter he wrote to his late wife 75 years ago while serving in the Navy.

“My dear, every time I have been away from you, I am excited when I return and discover how wonderful you are. While I’m away, I try to convince myself that you really aren’t, that you couldn’t be as sweet and beautiful as I remember. But when I see you, I fall in love with you again. Does it seem strange to you? I do not care. Bye dear. See you tomorrow,” she read.
