Midweek Motivation: Great Tips to Get Rid of the Midweek Blues

We’ve all reached a point where nothing is exciting enough to capture our attention and make us want to keep going. Monday is widely considered the most unpleasant day of the week. Will that make the other days better? No absolutely not. The other days are equally unremarkable. The worst days of the week are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The days closest to the weekend are generally the slowest, leading to mid-week blues for employees.

You have to go to work, you don’t have time to watch new movies and you can’t change it. You have to get up early the next day no matter how “done with life” you are because, well, there’s still time for Friday.

So what exactly is midweek? A simple explanation would be that time of the week when it is not Monday but it is still far from the weekend. You still haven’t recovered from the difficult Monday and you’re already looking forward to Friday. If you find yourself stuck mid-week, we have some suggestions to help you get through it.

1. Treat yourself

Who said candy was only for the holidays? If you’re feeling bad because it’s not the weekend yet, take out your phone and order a pizza with your favorite toppings. Pour yourself a glass of wine and settle in to watch your favorite television show.

What difference will this make? For starters, there is no problem in the world that pizza can’t solve. It was given to humanity for the sole purpose of curing people’s problems. Then there is the wine. I won’t go into detail about how wine can help. Finally, you will be reminded how you can afford all of this.

2. Take time to meditate

Your mind is full of all kinds of ideas. You will find yourself asking many questions that require specific solutions. You might wonder why any of this matters and how easy it would be if you were on a hiking trip to the mountains.

What you should do now is relax. It’s not as horrible as it seems. The only thing you have to do to stay motivated during the week is relax. Consider all the times when everything you did made sense.

Make yourself believe that this is just a phase that will pass once Friday comes. Meditate for a few minutes to clear your mind of all your sad thoughts before hitting the reset button.

3. Believe in yourself

Do you know what it means to be in the middle of the week? The weekend is almost here! It doesn’t have to be in a single day, but it is right around the corner.

You will be on vacation in a few days and you will be able to enjoy the weekend in a few days. Only then should you concentrate on your work during the week to be able to fully enjoy the weekend.

Do you want to put an end to missed deadlines and a mountain of work on the weekend? Absolutely not. You must believe in the concept of time, that every Monday ends in Sunday and that your day of fun is not far away.

4. Put on your jam

Music has a great impact on your soul. It is the most effective method to prevent all negativity from enveloping you. The mid-week blues are melancholic vibes emanating from your head that make everything around you boring.

Nothing in your environment seems to be entertaining enough; therefore, you are depressed. That’s when you turn up the volume. Allow yourself a 15-minute break from what you’re doing to listen to your favorite song.

Ignore everything around you for a while and immerse yourself in the relaxing effect of music. You can always sing, but remember that you are in public. You don’t want to end up on a Vine video that isn’t fun.

5. Get your creativity flowing

Projecting your feelings in the most imaginative way possible always helps in these cases. For example, if you are an artist, express your emotions on a canvas. Write about it if you are a writer.

You’re sad, why not use it to your advantage? You might get a good blog or a good piece of art, and it will do wonders as you will have let your feelings out in whatever way you choose.

Try it even if you don’t have much talent for drawing. Make some fun doodles by moving the pencil around. It is always preferable to be doing something than to be thinking about something terrible. You may want to bury your creations somewhere where no one can find them.
