A California nurse found herself in a heartbreaking situation when a freak accident occurred at a medical facility. During the incident, nurse Ainah Cervantes became trapped between an MRI machine and a hospital bed, causing her serious injuries that required surgery, Fox News reported.

“The bed pushed me.” Nurse Ainah Cervantes shared her account with investigators, according to a report obtained by KTVU. “I was basically running backwards; if I didn’t run, the bed would crush me underneath.”

The nurse suffered a serious laceration that required surgical intervention. According to the documents, she had to remove two embedded screws. Surprisingly, the patient who fell from the bed to the floor was unharmed.
