Neeraja Reddy, an Indian politician and former member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, died on Sunday in a tragic car accident. Reddy, who was from Alur constituency in Kurnool district, was traveling from Hyderabad to her hometown when her vehicle overturned near Jogulamba Gadwal, Telangana. Neeraja Reddy, former Alur MLA, passed away on April 16, 2023, while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kurnool, India. The cause of her death was a road accident in Itikyala village in Gadyal Jogulamba district. According to Kodandapuram police, Reddy was traveling from Hyderabad to Kurnool when the car’s rear tire burst, causing the SUV to overturn and crash into the farmland along National Highway 44. He took his last breath at Sri Chakra Hospital.
Neeraja Reddy was a widow and lost her husband Patil Seshi Reddy in a factional attack in 1996. Patil Seshi Reddy had served as Pathikonda MLA, although not much information is available about her political involvement or her children.
