As the latest judge of Shark Tank India and visionary behind OYO, Ritesh Agarwal offered an intriguing insight into Bengaluru’s vibrant business culture.
On Tuesday, he fondly remembered the city’s iconic cafes, breweries and legendary dosa spots that have been the breeding ground for many original ‘Shark Tanks’.
With a touch of local flavour, Agarwal was even jokingly considered part of Bengaluru, where startup discussions are often brought to life by a delicious dose of benne.
Sharing his experience at X, Agarwal posted a photo of his food along with the caption:

Shark Tank India is much like its American counterpart, where entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to a panel of investors, often called sharks, who can invest in these companies.
Ritesh Agarwal, Founder and CEO of OYO, expressed his desire to provide others with the same level of support that he received from his mentors.
“When I started my business journey, it was difficult to get resources. However, the generosity and kindness of the ecosystem (mentors, VCs, other founders) that took me in made the journey a little easier and more fulfilling.” wrote in X.
“Being able to replicate this has been one of my goals for a long time. Whenever the opportunity presented itself, I was very happy to connect, mentor and support entrepreneurs at every stage of their personal journeys.”
