New York police were accused of forcing Elie Wiesel’s son to put away the Israeli flag during a confrontation with anti-Israel protesters.

The son of late Holocaust survivor and Nobel Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel says police forced him to put away his Israeli flag while confronting a pro-Palestinian protester during a mass demonstration at Penn Station on Monday.

Eliseo Weisel, 51 years old, posted a video on X of himself wrapped in the flag while arguing heatedly with the protester, who was wearing a black mask over his face.

The protester criticizes Weisel for attending the Manhattan rally carrying the Israeli flag, while the former Goldman Sachs executive criticizes the man for describing his flag as a symbol of “terrorism.”

“Take off your mask,” Weisel says as he grabs the other man’s hand in an attempt to push away the phone recording him.

“Don’t touch me, buddy,” the protester warns as Weisel continues to tell him to take off his mask.

Weisel continues to call the protester a coward for hiding behind the mask, and the masked man becomes increasingly irritated, until a nearby NYPD officer who witnessed the interaction separates the men.

Weisel later claimed on social media that NYPD officers told him to remove the flag from his back because “the situation was becoming dangerous.”

He added that the police would not allow him to continue with his counter-protest.

The New York Police Department did not immediately respond to the Post’s request for comment on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, “30 Rock” star Alec Baldwin also got into a shouting match with protesters at Penn Station.

When asked if he condemned Israel, Baldwin responded: “No, I support peace for Gaza.”

One angry protester yelled at Baldwin: “Shut your mouth, you have no shame!”

Another shouted: “By the way, your career is sinking!”

Penn Station was just one of the sites of pro-Palestinian protests that consumed Midtown on Monday night, with hundreds of people also marching toward Grand Central Station and the Port Authority bus terminal.

Protesters called for a ceasefire in Gaza, where nearly 20,000 people have been killed during the war, according to the Hamas-run Health Ministry.

The New York police said six people were arrested during Monday’s pro-Palestinian protests in the city and that those arrested were between the ages of 19 and 40.
