Authorities warned that dangerous conditions caused by the wildfires may persist for most of the week, posing a risk to human health. In light of this, the general public has been advised to minimize or reschedule strenuous outdoor activities to prioritize their well-being.
Especially vulnerable people, including the elderly, young children and pregnant people, have been strongly urged to avoid engaging in such activities due to the increased risk of serious health problems caused by contamination.
If you reside in an area with high levels of air pollution, authorities recommend wearing face masks when venturing outdoors. Also, it’s a good idea to use an air purifier indoors and limit time outdoors for activities like gardening or exercise. It is also recommended to keep windows and doors closed to minimize exposure to polluted air.
