Birth and early life
Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia was born on December 11, 1994 in New Delhi to a Sikh family. Her father is an army officer in Manipur and her mother, Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia, is a school principal. Nimrit has a brother, Arpit Singh Ahluwalia, who studies at Drexel University, USA. At her young age, her friends bullied her for being fat and she faced body shaming.
Nimrit did her schooling from St. Mark’s Sr. High School, Meera Bagh, New Delhi, and obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree in Law from Army Law Institute, Mohali.

Nimrit started her career by winning the title of Femina Miss India Manipur in 2018. She also won the title of The Tiara Queen from TGPC in the same year. She was among the top finalists in Patiala audition for FBB campus Princess. In 2018, she appeared in the music video for the song Masstani by B praak. In July 2019 she debuted in the television industry with the series Choti Sarrdaarni as Meher Kaur Gill.
