Nishma Chengappa was born in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He graduated from Presidency College, Bangalore. She made her debut with the drama film Dildara as Jyothi in 2010. The story is about Jagga being orphaned and given asylum by Rangappa, who runs a tea shop along the road. In 2017, he appeared in the hit film Mysore Diaries.
Nishma debuted with the television drama series Niram Maaratha Pookkal as Keerthi. In 2017, she appeared in the show Savithri aired on ETV.
