North Carolina Woman Collapses on Live TV After Winning $1 Million Powerball on New Year’s Eve

A North Carolina woman fell to the ground live on television when she became the first Powerball millionaire of 2024.

Pamela Bradshaw collapsed to the floor in shock after Ryan Seacrest shouted her number live on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” shortly after midnight.

“Pamela! You’re a millionaire! Seacrest announced as Bradshaw went down.

After recovering, with the help of the presenter and her daughter Joanna Hinson, a stunned Bradshaw screamed: “Oh my God!”

The mother then “thanked God” for this once-in-a-lifetime moment.

“I feel very blessed,” she said as her daughter hugged her tightly.

Seacrest revealed that Bradshaw had promised to give “a little bit” of the money to his daughter and encouraged her to give Hinson a larger portion of the money.

This is the second year in a row a North Carolina resident has won $1 million on New Year’s Eve, according to the North Carolina Lottery.

Bradshaw, who had never been to New York City before, won a VIP trip to New York City through a second chance drawing conducted by the state lottery.

She became one of five Powerball players chosen nationwide with a chance to win $1 million.

Not only was it the first time the Clinton woman saw the Statue of Liberty, but it was also the first time she flew on an airplane, according to the North Carolina Lottery.

“I cried on the plane ride and I cried at the Statue of Liberty,” he told the lottery. “It’s been just amazing.”

Their VIP trip included a four-day, three-night stay in the Big Apple.

Bradshaw said he wants to use the money to buy a house.

“I would love to have my own house that was mine and that I felt safe in,” Bradshaw told the lottery. “It’s nothing fancy or big, just a little cabin or something with one or two bedrooms.”
