Her alleged motive, as revealed in the case, revolves around her discovery that he intended to end their relationship shortly after inheriting a significant sum of money.

On September 3, Steven Riley Jr., 51, fell seriously ill during a meeting with a lawyer where he was to receive a large sum of money.

Witnesses, as noted in Minot Police Department records, shared this information with investigators.

After this distressing incident, Riley’s girlfriend, Ina Thea Kenoyer, made an emergency call to 911 the next day. Paramedics arrived and found Riley unconscious and he was subsequently hospitalized. Tragically, he passed away on September 5th.

At 47 years old, Kenoyer faces a serious legal situation, as he has been charged with class AA felony murder, which is the most serious murder charge in North Dakota. During the investigation, Kenoyer stated that, as Riley’s common-law wife, she believed she had the right to claim a share of her inheritance.

According to records, he intended to split this estimated $30 million inheritance with Riley’s son.

What charges is the woman facing now?

He is currently in custody at the Ward County Detention Center, without bond, according to court records. The Associated Press attempted to contact her by leaving voicemails at the center on Tuesday.
