Not Snoop Dog’s ‘La La La’, Man Uses Viral Desi Meme As Electric Scooter Horn, The Internet Goes ROLF

Man Uses Meme As Electric Scooter Horn

Man Electric Scooter Horn Inspired By Viral MemeTwitter

So, it was not a surprise when a man in India decided that a meme was the way to go when it came to upgrading his electric scooter horn. The people on Twitter (or, for the truly seasoned, X) found the man’s clever upgrade on his scooter hilarious, and in true Twitter fashion, the video went viral.

The desi local selected a newly discovered rural meme in which a man in a white vest is shouting over a megaphone. He comically utters, “Jaldi wahan se hatoo (Quickly step aside from there).”

When one thinks about it, the meme is actually the perfect raw material for a scooter’s horn. Not only does it convey the emotion of the driver accurately, but it also does not stir up any aggressive feelings of irritation.

In the viral clip, the man is seen zooming through an Indian street and using his meme horn as rain patters down at him. The man protects himself from getting wet with a raincoat and a helmet. However, even through the misty helmet, the camera is able to capture the young man’s splitting smile while he enjoys using his iconic horn on the streets.

Is It Legal To Use Memes As Horns On Road?

Well, it is still unclear what the laws say about a two-wheeler using a meme as a horn. However, the use of pressure, musical, and reverse horns is banned under Rule 119 of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules. The use of one of these horns is also punishable by a fine of Rs 500 under this rule.

Even with the laws prohibiting the use of musical horns, there is no rule that singles out the use of a meme phrase as a horn. However, the horn’s legality had nothing to do with the people on the internet, as they thoroughly enjoyed its use and even encouraged the user by applauding his idea.

Many came forward and expressed their interest in using a similar horn on their electric scooters. While there were also users who found the new horn rather obnoxious.

It’s “jaldi wahan se hatao”. And it is hilarious the more I watch it.
