The Mackinaw Police Department and EMS were informed of a crash Friday night at 9:02 p.m. involving a pedestrian and a vehicle in the 100 block of N. Main St in Mackinaw. The pedestrian, Adrian Taylor-Zehr, 9, of Kruse Street, was transported to OSF Healthcare Saint Francis Medical Center unresponsive, not breathing, and without a pulse. Despite aggressive care and resuscitation efforts, he was pronounced dead at OSF at 10:06 pm The boy sustained multiple blunt force traumatic injuries that were inconsistent with life and unfortunately were not survivable and irreversible.
