One dead and at least 12 injured after tour bus overturns in upstate New York: ‘horrible incident’

One person was killed and at least 12 others were injured after a Canadian tour bus overturned in upstate New York on Friday, according to authorities.

The crash occurred around 12:49 p.m. in the southbound lane of Interstate 87 in the popular Adirondack resort town of Lake George in Warren County, about four hours north of New York City. their fate, according to state police and local agencies.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said her office had been informed of the accident and that Department of Transportation workers were at the scene.

“I join the people of New York in praying for the well-being of everyone involved in this horrific incident and am deeply grateful for the heroic efforts of our first responders,” she said in a statement.
