Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G smartphones have always been meant for people who want to get the most out of their investment. They have provided not only state-of-the-art technology, but also excellent design and quality. Oppo’s newest product, the Reno 6 Pro, offers the same value. It includes excellent hardware, as well as a lightweight body and high-quality materials. In India, the phone was launched on May 27, 2021. Since then, the phone has become more and more popular. This OPPO Reno 6 Pro review covers all the important aspects of the phone.
Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G Full Features and Specifications
Design
In terms of design, the Reno 6 Pro is almost identical to its previous phones. It has the same chamfered corners, a slim 7.6mm bezel, and a nearly identical camera panel. However, the flash component of the new 6 Pro model is a bit closer to the fourth camera module.
The Reno 6 Pro remains one of the best-looking mid-range phones, even though the design hasn’t changed much. The phone has a Reno Glow gradient, which changes the color of the phone from blue to gold depending on how much light hits it. The phone’s matte finish makes it easier to hold and operate.
The weight of the Reno 6 Pro increased to 177g due to the larger battery. The volume rocker is on the left and the power button is on the right. A USB-C port sits next to the main speaker. A 3.5mm jack is not available here. However, most mid-range phones now include this shell.
Show
The Reno 6 Pro’s screen is extremely detailed. It features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ playback certification, and 180Hz touch responsiveness. This is a carbon copy of the Reno 5 Pro. The bezels are equally narrow all around, and the cutout for the selfie camera is discreet.
The brightness of the phone is excellent and users will have no problem viewing it in direct sunlight. Color calibration in standard mode is pretty good too. The lack of 120Hz support is one thing that doesn’t exist. It’s a bit of a pain for the Reno 6 Pro, given how many expensive phones ship with 120Hz panels these days; however, it is a wonderful screen.
Frontal camera
On the front, the OPPO Reno 6 Pro 5G has a 32MP camera, exactly like its predecessor. The good news is that Oppo has fixed the issues with the Reno 5 Pro’s front-facing camera on the current model.
This time, the Reno 6 Pro captures images rich in detail and with even lighting. There’s plenty of dynamic range, and portrait mode does a great job of edge detection.
Rear camera
Even when it comes to the camera, the Reno 6 Pro is no different from its predecessor. The iPhone 6 Pro contains a 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor from Apple, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel portrait lens.
Shooting modes are placed in a ribbon at the bottom of the camera interface, along with switches for flash, AI, HDR, and timer. You’ll also discover Google Lens settings here, like switching between lenses and magnification levels.
The 64MP camera works identically to the Reno 5 Pro. In virtually any lighting situation, it delivers stunning images. The resulting images have high clarity, little to no noise, and an oversaturated appearance, making them look vibrant when shared on social media platforms.
During the day, the 8MP wide-angle sensor produces images with a color profile comparable to that of the main lens. However, in low-light circumstances, it fails to capture good images.
Let’s take a look at the 2MP macro shooter now. It can be inconvenient to use; the fixed focus component requires a lot of effort and the images produced are not up to scratch. Although there’s noticeable jitter in low light, especially at 4K, video capture is clearly competent.
Performance, hardware and user interface
The Oppo Reno 6 Pro has a Mediatek Dimensity 1200 processor and 12 GB of RAM. Oppo’s memory boost technology is impressive. The “memory boost” method, according to the company, can add additional RAM by using some storage space and acting as RAM. Although the concept is not new, this may be the first time it has been implemented on a phone.
Other than that, the OPPO Reno 6 Pro is equipped with 5G technology. Not to mention the 5G mechanism, which will come in handy once 5G is fully implemented.
ColorOS 11.3 is pre-installed on the Reno 6 Pro and is based on Android 11. The user interface is incredibly smooth and includes a host of new features such as a system-wide dark mode, accent color customization, an always-on mode . -view option, and more.
The company has tried to create software that is more subtle and customizable. Some of the pleasure can be spoiled by bloatware and numerous notifications, but most of them are controllable. And there’s more For fans of mobile gaming, the Reno 6 Pro is a welcome addition. They can play high-resolution games like PUBG and Call of Duty with minimal lag or command execution delays. Asphalt 9 also offers a promising gaming experience.
Battery duration
On a mix of 4G and Wi-Fi networks, the Reno 6 Pro 5G can easily last a whole day. Due to the 4500 mAh battery and smart optimization. The Reno 6 Pro is very easy to charge.
Starting at 5% charge, the 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 charge takes about 30 minutes to fully charge. This is useful when you need to get somewhere quickly and don’t have time to stop for a quick recharge.
Wireless charging isn’t available on the Reno 6 Pro, but it is on the Galaxy S20 FE 5G, which is similarly priced.
Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G Price in Bangladesh
The Oppo Reno 6 5G is yet to be launched in Bangladesh. In India, this phone is already available. The exchange rate from INR to BDT is 1.14. This rate is subject to fluctuations.
Prices for two 6 Pro models that have been converted to BDT are listed below. The 12GB and 256GB model costs BDT 45,442, while the 8GB and 128GB model costs BDT 34,079. The unauthorized price of the Reno 6 Pro, on the other hand, may vary depending on the sellers. Also, due to tax issues, the official price of OPPO Reno 6 Pro 5G in Bangladesh may increase.
Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G review and verdict
The Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G smartphone improves in several aspects but misses some equally important ones. Its price in the Bangladeshi ranges seems to be a bit higher.
The performance of the camera series is satisfactory. Reno 6 Pro 5G is certainly attractive, but looks are not everything. The MediaTek Dimensity 1200 isn’t a bad chipset, however several competitors offer better technology for less money. The Oppo Reno 6 Pro’s two speakers, IP certification, and wireless charging might make it a better deal.
In general, the package seems to be standard. However, if performance is more essential to you than design or camera, check out the other options in the same price range.
