Parijita Bastola was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to a Nepalese family. His family moved to the United States when political unrest began in Nepal. He belongs to a non-musical family. Her elder sister Priyankana introduced her to soul and R&B music. She currently attends Severna Park High School.
Parijita performed at school in musicals and choir and, eventually, in a blues band. He has been playing in restaurants and bars for the last five years. Parjita is the vocalist of the band Bastola, which is named after her. The band was selected to perform at the 2022 International Blues Challenge in Memphis. The same year, she also became one of the contestants on the singing reality show The Voice 22.
