One person was shot and wounded at a Lil Baby concert in Memphis Thursday night in what police believe was a premeditated and targeted shooting.
Gunshots were heard inside the FedEd Forum just before 10:23 p.m. Thursday night, prompting a rapid response from the Memphis Police Department.
A male victim was rushed to Regional One Health and Medical Center in critical condition. As of Friday afternoon, the victim was no longer in critical condition, authorities said.
No other injuries were reported and the Forum was evacuated.
When the shooting broke out, security removed the rapper from the stage, WREG-TV reported.

Concertgoer Clarissa Johnson recounted hearing a bang as the shooting was going on and told the outlet, “I’m not sure what happened, but I had a suite, so I told my whole team, ‘Get down.’ So we evacuate. Once we evacuated, we did a head count. “I’m still not sure what happened.”
The “Drip Too Hard” rapper apologized Friday afternoon on X, formerly known as Twitter, for not being able to perform the night before.
“Unfortunately I wasn’t able to perform last night in Memphis, although I’ll make sure everyone gets a refund,” he wrote with an emoji showing two hands forming a heart symbol.

The identity of the shooter is currently unknown and police are not sure how he managed to outwit the site’s private security team.
“FedExForum contracts with a private security company that screens customers for weapons. It is unknown, at this time, how the suspect was able to bypass the security screening process,” Memphis Police said in a statement to Action 5 News.
While police have not made any arrests, they said they believe the shooting was “premeditated” and targeted the victim.
The 28-year-old rapper, whose real name is Dominique Armani Jones, has been touring North America since July.
His “It’s Only Us Tour” will take him and special guests GloRilla, Rylo Rodriguez, Gloss Up and Hunxho to venues across the continent through September 22.
