According to the latest reports, at least 19 people died after burning alive while 14 others were seriously injured as they sustained severe burns. Reports have claimed that the accident happened on Sunday morning at around 4:15 am on the M-4 near the Pindi Bhattian Motorway Interchange. Reportedly, the bus that was involved in the accident with the number plate (E-4750) heading to the Pindi Bhattian Motorway Interchange when it collided with a diesel pickup truck. At the time of the accident, the bus was carrying passengers. The people who witnessed the fierce accident said they saw a sudden fire erupt inside the bus. Initially, they thought it occurred due to a short circuit. When the driver of the bus could not control the bus, it veered into the pickup truck carrying diesel in the tank. The fire suddenly caught both vehicles leading the devastating lives. However, the rescue team and the motorway police swiftly responded to the scene along with the other emergency services. The casualties were confirmed by the medical superintendent at THQ Pindi Bhattian named Dr. Athar Majeed who said the bodies of 19 people including two from the pickup truck, were transferred to the hospital. The injured passenger somehow escaped the bus engulfed in flames by breaking the window panes. The preliminary report claimed that 15 people were transported to the THQ Hospital Pindi Bhattian. Among the 15 injured people, three were later shifted to the Allied Hospital located in Faisalabad due to their severe injuries. Later one of the three victims succumbed to his burnt injuries at the Allied Hospital. Multiple officers visited the accident scene to direct the medical superintendent of THQ to ensure the injured victims receive the best treatment free of cost.
