Given the mammoth feat, nationwide celebrations were in order. A clip from the ISRO’s after-party post-milestone landing captured the organisation’s chairman, S. Somanath, taking to the dance floor and sparing a few dhumkas on the occasion.

Even before the landing commenced, locals in India were already partaking in their own rituals and rites to wish the lander a successful third attempt after Chandrayaan-1 and Chandrayaan-2 failed to achieve a soft landing.

The success of the lunar mission was recorded and broadcast live throughout the world via a live stream on the internet. The moment Chandrayaan-3 made contact with the moon’s surface, scientists gave jubilant reactions as the ISRO command centre erupted in celebration. 

The video of the scientists’ and engineers’ reaction to the touchdown reached the farthest depths of the internet, as they made no attempts to hold back their pride and let their shoulders swell as high as possible.

After Chandrayaan-3 made its successful descent on the moon’s South Pole, the ISRO scientists took to the dance floor to revel in their successful feat for the nation. A clip from the party is currently going around the internet, featuring ISRO chairman S. Somanath breaking into a dance.

Like every Desi dad, the aerospace engineer was seen lighting up the dance floor with his team. The joy and triumph glared on every smiling face grooving on the dance floor. All hands were raised high in the air as scientists and other employees of the organisation came together to celebrate the historic feat. 

The team ISRO has indeed emerged as the new heroes of the Indian people, as users echo this sentiment throughout the internet. After the clip went viral, many came forward to adore the team and compliment them for their efforts on the lunar mission.
