Two people were detained by police Tuesday on the Penn State University campus after appearing to cause a disturbance during Riley Gaines’ appearance at the school, according to videos circulating on social media.
Videos published on X, Previously Twitter, from The College Fix shows two people approaching a table on campus where Gaines was expected to attend for the Real Women’s Day rally.
An individual is seen throwing objects off the table.
Another person is seen yelling in someone’s face, calling them a “transphobic” in reference to a sign they are holding.
The person then turns the table over.
As an officer approaches the two, he appears to try to stop one, who responds, “Don’t touch me like that.”
“Will you let me go?” the person continues, while she also calls the officer a “whore.”
The other individual asks if the two are under arrest, to which the officer responds yes.
That’s when the video shows the two people handcuffed next to a police vehicle.
A bystander asks why they are “being arrested” and an officer says “disorderly conduct, right now.”

Gaines told Fox News Digital via text message that two people were arrested Tuesday.
University police did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
In a video recorded before the two were arrested, one of them approached several people shouting profanities.

Dozens of protesters arrived at Gaines’ speech chanting “trans lives matter.”
Gaines said Monday that the school canceled his appearance, but in an email to Fox News Digital, the university said that was not the case.
The former college swimmer posted a video in which Penn State President Neeli Bendapudi previously explained that as a public university, the school is “bound by the First Amendment” to allow speakers “who many will consider controversial, whether because their points of view are not widely disseminated.” celebrated or because a speaker espouses ideas that are actively hateful.”
A school teacher also said Gaines has “espoused hateful messages.”
