Rahul Sharma was born in the Dausa city of Rajasthan. He belongs to a middle class Brahmin family. Apart from him in the family, he also has two sisters who live in Jaipur and Indore. In 2008, Sharma participated in a workshop organized by NSD in Jaipur. In the first 20 days of the 3-month workshop, Rahul fell in love with acting and decided that he would now make a career in it.

In 2010, Sharma moved to Mumbai after working in a theater for a few years. She gave more than 600 auditions in the initial struggling period of her career. During this time she worked on several television commercials.
On television, he got his first breakthrough with a television series. Kahani Chandrakanta Ki. She played a small character in this series. Later he acted in Teri Meri love story. She never looked back after this series. She played the main character in several television shows. Ek Ghar Banaunga, Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi, Satrangi Sasural, Naagarjuna – Ek Yoddha, Mitegi Laxman Rekha.
In 2019-21, he is seen in Dangal TV’s series Pyaar Ki Luka Chuppi, in which he played the lead character Sarthak.
