Edtech entrepreneur Ravi Handa shared a video on Twitter in which he can be heard talking about an incident with a security guard. According to the video guard, a supervisor ordered him to prevent employees from leaving the workplace without his consent.

The video, which has already been widely circulated, sparked outrage on the Internet. Ravi Handa expressed his dismay and stated, “Indian edtech founders are now literally locking up their employees. Get out of this country. Nowhere else would anyone dare to do something like this.” The incident involves the company ‘Coding Ninjas’.

How did the company in question react?

In addition, Handa shared the company’s official statement, explaining that the situation occurred due to the “regrettable” actions of an employee. The company emphasized that the problem was addressed and resolved quickly.

The company is Coding Ninjas. The founder is Ankush Singla (IIT D+Stanford). The video was shared by Himanshu Atal on LinkedIn.
